The back glass makes you panic
A deep ball comes and you rush it before the glass, or get stuck so close to the wall you have no room to swing.
Same ball, two positions. Step out and let the glass give you time.

The 30-Day Padel Upgrade
30 days. 30 fixes. 20 to 30 minutes a session.
The habits that move club players from the back of the court to the front: a ready paddle, calm play off the glass, deep lobs and a net you keep.
Six habits that keep club players stuck at the back of the court. Each one gets its own day in the plan.
A deep ball comes and you rush it before the glass, or get stuck so close to the wall you have no room to swing.
Same ball, two positions. Step out and let the glass give you time.
Every ball arrives before you're ready. You swing late, the face opens and the ball floats up for them.
Too short or too low, and the net players smash it. A good lob is your best way to push them back.
You admire it, they run back and lob you, and you've wasted your best chance to take the net.
You and your partner each stand still in your own half. You both leave it, or you both go and clash paddles.
Hit hard from deep, it comes off their back glass and they play it back easily. Know when to bandeja instead.
Every day follows the same format, so you never waste court time working out what to do. Left page: the problem and the fix. Right page: the drill and the test.
The mistake most players make, and why it costs them.
Three coaching keys and a diagram that shows the right way.
One drill with setup, reps and time. Plus a level-up when it gets easy.
Tick the boxes. Can't tick them? Repeat the day next session.
A partner for most court days: anyone who can feed you balls is gold. Home days need a few metres of space, a resistance band and a phone timer.
Week 1 builds your basics. Week 2 teaches you to use the glass. Week 3 gets you to the net and keeps you there. Week 4 makes you a better team on matchday.
By the end: A ready position you don't think about, steady shots on both sides, and volleys you block instead of swing.

RetestTest
Same tests. Same rules. Better player.
Real pages from the book. Every training day is a two-page spread: the problem and the fix, then the drill and the test.
Six tests measure the shots and movement the plan trains: the glass, volleys, lobs, the serve, the bandeja and your feet. Same tests, same rules, so the difference is there in black and white.
Rough guide for club players. Our own estimates.
| Test | Starting | Building | Solid | Strong |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| T1 Back glass | 0–3 | 4–5 | 6–7 | 8+ |
| T2 Volleys | 0–3 | 4–5 | 6–7 | 8+ |
| T3 Lob depth | 0–2 | 3–4 | 5–6 | 7+ |

| T5 Bandeja | 0–2 | 3–4 | 5–6 | 7+ |
These are our own coaching estimates, not official standards or a playing rating. Feeds, courts and balls vary, so your own Day 1 score is the number that matters. T6 has no bands: only compare it with yourself.

For most court days, yes: anyone who can feed you balls. Days 3, 8, 9 and 13 work solo on a court, Days 24 to 26 work at home, and the book gives a solo version of a drill wherever one exists.
Your racket with the wrist strap on, 10 or more balls, about 6 cones (flat markers work) and a court about 3 times a week. Home days need a few metres of space, a resistance band and a phone timer.
20 to 30 minutes, after the 6-minute warm-up. Aim for 4 or 5 sessions a week with at least one full rest day. 30 sessions matters more than 30 days in a row.
Club players who can already rally and play once or twice a week, on either side of the court. If you've never played, book a beginner lesson first.
Yes. The diagrams show a right-handed pair, so mirror the forehand and backhand sides.
